To find this house from I-71, take the Ashland Exit, Exit 176, Turn left on Main Street toward Ashland. At the edge of downtown, turn right, north, on Union Street. Follow Union Street to Orange Rd. Right on Orange Rd to 1471, which is on the right.

 This is the view
from the front door of the house. As you can see, it is very open,
and very bright, with a door at the back of the dining room that looks to
the back yard.The kitchen area in the picture at the right is not large, but it feels large because of the open concept.
I don't know if it is a correct term, but the wall is what we used to call "sloppy brick," and it is really a great feature of the house.

On a snowy day this is the view out the sliding door a the back of the dining room. It only takes a bit if imagination to think about enjoying the nice back yard on a summer day.

This is the side of
the living room with the brick and spindle wall at the left. When
you see the brickwork in the wall, you will be very pleased with the
quality. This is not a brick facing, but a sturdy and beautiful low
wall separating the living room from the dining room.
A final view of the
pretty U-shaped kitchen area with very nice lighting and lovely cabinets.
If you look closely at
the picture from the front door, you can see a door at the right behind
the brick and spindle wall. This is standing in that doorway with
the back hall with the door to the garage at the far right and the
basement door out of sight at the left. It's really nice to have the
utility-type things our of sight of the main house.
