Understanding Traffic Lights I've noticed on the motorcycle forums that many motorcyclist have trouble with their motorcycles triggering the automatic electronic traffic control lights and they also have a need to know how they work. Well, I did a little digging and I found out that bicyclist have the same problem, to even a greater degree, because of the bicycles having even less mass than a motorcycle. The two links below goes to another web site and yes they're bicycle related. But the information about how the traffic lights work is about the best I've found. That is the link on the left side. The other link has some of the best ways to trigger a traffic with a bicycle which would also be the best ways to trigger them with a motorcycle, except for laying your motorcycle down on its side over top of the ground loop.
