Welcome to the District 5 web site for the Grand National Teams (GNT) and North American Pairs (NAP).
The links to the left will lead you to important information concerning these events which are the “Grass Roots” venues of competitive tournament play for teams and pairs in North America.
GNT: There are currently no club or unit level qualifying events in the district for the GNT. District 5 runs a regional rated tournament each spring as a combined qualifier and final to determine the teams that will represent District 5 in each of four flights at the summer North American Bridge Championships (NABC).
District 5 will now be supporting the winning teams in each flight by earmarking $1000 per team to help defray the cost of attending the NABC.
NAP: Clubs are encouraged to hold up to two (2) qualifying games each month during the June through August time frame. Qualifying players may then compete in the district final each fall to determine the top three pairs who will represent District 5 in each flight at the spring NABC. |
