NEW MEETING NIGHT
Starting in January our general meeting night is going to be the
2nd Monday of every month Lyndora American Legion.

Meeting on October 11th
We will have our annual BOD elections, where we need to fill two positions. If you are interested in running for one of these positions, or know someone who is, please contact Dave Bowen or Joe Mudrick, or come to the October meeting so that you can be nominated.

Saturday December 9th.
That will be the night of our Christmas party. The party will be held at the Meridian VFD hall on Sparks Ave. This will be a catered event but it is BYOB. Flyer is attached to the newsletter. If you have any ideas for this event, please let us know, new ideas are always welcome.
We are also in need of door prizes for this party so if you would like to donate (something you won and can't use, a six pack of pop, etc,
a craft that you make) it would be greatly appreciated.

CLOTHING
The new clothing order is in. We now have "patriotic" sleeve shirts in stock, so if you are interested come to a meeting and spend some of your hard earned money! Remember Christmas is coming, club apparel makes great gifts.

2017 SUMMER RAFFLE
Another Summer Raffle is history. This year we had 2000 tickets.
The club purchased 1500 tickets and Ace Brothers Printing donated another 500. Out of that 2000, we sold 1863 tickets. Only 7 books that had been sent out to members were not returned, 2 books were lost in the mail, and there were 47 tickets not sold from the remaining tickets.
A final accounting will be presented at the meeting, but the club had a substantial profit from this year's raffle. Thanks to all who participated. Those who should be recognized are Bill Errera, who sold 32 books outright and also sold quite a few more at the cruises this summer.
Also thanks to my wife, Terry, for walking around at cruises and selling tickets to anyone who would buy one.
Thanks too to all the members who sold more than the book provided to them at the beginning of the raffle.

WONDERFULL ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
We received thank you letters and acknowledgements for our donations made in December. The Dept of Veterans Affairs, City of Butler, County of Butler And The Leukemia Lymphoma Society were all extremely grateful.
We should all feel proud that we have helped these
4 worthwhile organizations, and that we belong to a club that is willing
and able to do such wonderful acts.
