| Cherrywood's Lion in Winter, aka Griffon, has been a wonderful addition to our family. Griff's sire is Darius Von Alpensee and his dam is Slattvika's Mischief Maker his DOB12/29/2002, from a litter of 9 males and 1 female. Griffon is probably the happiest dog I have ever met. He is very eager to please, loveable, patient with all (even our cats), fun-loving, confident and very devoted. While his physical presence is quite striking, it is his temperament that sets him apart. I aspire to have such a wonderful outlook on life as Griffon. Physically speaking, Griffon is quite majestic; the quintessential "Lion in Winter." But, he didn't start out that way! Griffon took his own sweet time to physically mature. At 4 years of age, Griffon is 30 1/4 inches at the shoulders. He has a fantastic mask and dark eyes, a wonderfully well proportioned body with lots of bone, and a beautiful reddish brown coat. He is very agile and loves to dance! Griffon's first litter with Ann Roger's bitch, Cherrywood's Had to be You, produced 7 very nice, solid puppies. I know that I am just a bit biased but they really were wonderful pups physically with very stable temperaments. I am sure that his litter with Bevard's Sentez Endego will be equally as great! Griffon shares his home with another Leonberger, Cadence, and his loyal cohort in crime, our Shiloh Shepherd, Cody, two cats-Snickers and Punkin, and of course his adoring humans, Cindy & Lawrence Timm. |
