The Teacher's Pet Bed and Breakfast is a 100 year old farmhouse beautifully furnished with all antiques in a quiet location not too far from both state Route 19 and I-79.

Your hosts are former teachers who will welcome you to a quiet location in the country with 8 acres of gardens, trees and serenity, just a few miles from two state parks - McConnells Mill State Park and Moraine State Park.

McConnells Mill is located on the Slippery Rock Creek and has a covered bridge, an old mill, and walking trails.  Moraine State Park has a large lake, Lake Arthur, with boat rentals, sailing, swimming and a great 7 mile bike trail, with bike rentals available. Great shopping is nearby with the Grove City Outlets and the quaint town of Volant just 20 minutes north, and Cranberry Township's shopping district just 20 minutes south.  There are three colleges nearby, Slippery Rock University, Westminster College, and Grove City College.  

Our house has two guest rooms - The Macintosh Room and The Granny Smith Room - each with a queen-size bed, private attached bath and an air conditioner.  We offer free cable, Netflix and WiFi - so you are never out of touch.     In addition to your room, the $95 per night cost allows guests access to a comfortable parlor with a piano, a checkers/chess table and many board games. In the morning we serve a delicious full breakfast with specialties like English breakfast, quiche, muffins and our famous French toast.  

There are working fireplaces in our bedrooms as well as the parlor and dining room. These will come in handy when you visit us in the colder weather. We are open year-round and our house is especially beautiful when decorated for the holidays.  Outside you can sit and relax on our front porch swing or stroll the gardens. 

If you're looking for a great restaurant, we have several award winning restaurants nearby such as the Log Cabin Inn, Shakespeare's Restaurant, Brown's Country Kitchen and The Harmony Inn just to name a few.  All these are within 9 miles of our farm.  

Children welcome if both rooms are booked. Sorry we do not allow pets.

We are a non-smoking bed and breakfast.
