Through process of elimination, dates, and proximity of families, I have concluded that "Susannah [Gongaware] McMichel" (Susanna McMichael), b. 1807, is the same person as "Hannah Gongaware," b. 1807, daughter of Philip G. Gongaware, b. 1760-d. 1829. In N. Huntingdon Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA, in 1850 one finds Philip G. Gongaware and two sons, Jonas (b. 1795) and Peter (b. 1796). In E. Huntingdon, there is a third son, Jacob (b. 1799). The most likely placement of my ancestor Susanna is as one of the last two daughters of Philip G., sister of Jonas, Peter, and Jacob

Sarah married Alexander McMichael, son of David McMichael and Unknown. (Alexander McMichael was born in 1813 in Derry, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania and died before 1860.)
