Ashland Public Library's Craft Club
@ Ashland, Ohio

Ashland Public Library's Craft Club meets the first Thursday evening of every month (except July) from 6 to 8 p.m in the large downstairs meeting room. Crafters bring current projects to work on while they chat. Sometime during each meeting, someone presents a demonstration or hands-on craft experience. Past programs have included a pressed flower demonstration, 3-D picture construction, and loom knitting. The group has started a stash exchange. Members bring their extra items to be placed in a bin so others can glean items that they might find useful.

All crafters are welcome.
December 4, 2008 meeting topic will be hooked rugs.
November meeting topic was Beading.
*October meeting: (from Kristie at the Library)

The next meeting of the Craft Club will be on Thursday, October 2nd. We'll be meeting in the large meeting room, as usual, from 6 to 8. The room is usually open before that so if you ever happen to come a little early that is fine.

This month, Wendy Shreffler will discuss stamping and how it can be a craft on its own and also enhance other crafts. Wendy is planning to bring supplies so that everyone can make a card. That sounds like fun!
     *  September 4 2008: We met the owners of Suzie Homemaker Fabrics 'n More, the new store which opened up just a few months ago on Claremont Avenue. Theresa also presented a fun and easy craft project involving toilet paper, asked all attendees to bring a FULL roll of toilet paper (not just the empty roll).

Note from Granny Emm: this meeting was blessed with our largest attendance to date. Here are some photos I took of people enjoying crafting with each other. There are probably more on the library web site.

* August 7 Barbara Morejon taught about all different kinds of felting.
