Rescue 484
The Hamlin Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to introduce the newest
addition to
the fleet. Rescue 484 is a 2006 Pierce Contender Mini-Pumper on a
GMC 5500 4X4
Chassis. It powers a 500 gpm Waterous pump with a 230 gallon poly
tank and 20 gallon
foam tank for the 2001 FoamPro system. Delivery was taken on July
25, 2007, but the
truck was featured in the
Hamlin July 4th parade and made it's debut at the 2007
Daytona 500. Rescue 484 entered service in August 2007. Equipment
carried includes:
Amkus Hydraulic Spreader, Cutter, Ram, dual output four cycle power plant
and manual
backup; Paratech 75 ton
Airbag System; Two Scott SCBAswith two spare bottles;
12,000lbs Warn Winch; Ferno Stokes Basket; Two Spill Packs;Preloaded 4:1
Haul System;
50 pieces of various dimensioncribbing; various handtools; 400 feet 1 3/4"
perconnected
attack hose, 600 feet of 2 1/2" supply hose; 200+ feet 5" supply hose;
appliances for
an NFPA 1901 pumper.
