Rescue 484
Rescue 484 is a 2006 Pierce Contender Mini-Pumper with 5 person cab on a GMC 5500 4X4 chassis, purchased from Finnley Fire Equipment.  It was delivered on July 25, 2007.  It was debuted in the Hamlin July 4th parade, but was on display at the Daytona International Speedway in February 2007 for the Daytona 500. It carries the Daytona logo and the checkered flag scotchlite as a symbol of it's beginning.  Rescue 484 was placed into service in September 2007, and replaced Rescue 482, a 1999 Ford F450 dry walk around rescue.  It is equiped with a Waterous 500 gpm PTO pump, and carries 230 gallons of water and 25 gallons of Class A foam.  The hose bed carries 650 feet of 2 1/2" hose, 310 feet of 5" LDH, 12' extension ladder and collapsable 10' attic ladder.  Additional equipment includes: Amkus Hydraulic Spreader, Cutter, Ram, powered by a dual output four cycle power plant with manual backup; Bullard Thermal Imaging Camera with remote monitor and recorder; Paratech 75 ton Airbag System; Five Scott 50 SCBAs with five spare bottles; Ferno Stokes Basket; Three Spill Packs; Preloaded 4:1 1/2" lifeline hauling system; 50 pieces of various dimensions of cribbing; electric cords; hydraulic hoses; LED Landing Zone marker lights; traffic director lights; and various hand tools.
