Welcome to the Ashland Boyd County Dog Park!

The Ashland Boyd County Dog Park was established in June 2003, by agreement between the Ashland City and Boyd County commissioners. The dog park is located off West Summit Road (behind Boyd County Middle School), and officially opened on October 19, 2003.

Park Hours - The Ashland Boyd County Dog Park is open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, weather permitting. The Dog Park is maintained by the Boyd County Parks Department.

Now you can go shopping and help the ABC Dog Park. Just click on the button and register. Then, every time you shop at one of the hundreds of great shopping sites, part of the proceeds will go to the Pet Betterment Fund. If you register and shop within the first 45 days, iGive will automatically donate $5.00 to the Pet Betterment Fund.

There will be a Dog Show at the Ashland Boyd County Dog Park on Saturday, June 16, 2012 starting at 2 pm. Five categories with trophies! Click here for more details.

Dog Park in the News


The dog park was more than two years in the making. Follow the story and community reaction as it turned from just a dream in April 2002, to its opening and beyond.

Volunteers... committed volunteers are desperately needed to help us plan and work the events we want to have. We need people who will actually show up! There are many things we want to do, but most are just not possible because we don't have the people to help! If you care about the success of the Dog Park and the success of the events that we hold, please contact us immediately.

The dog park is supported entirely by donations - money, furniture, time. If you would like to make a donation of any sort, please contact us. Monetary donations are held by the Foundation of the Tri-State Community. Read this article about their support for the dog park.
