The Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad is a regional railroad located in Western Pennsylvania and extreme Northeastern Ohio. It runs from the Lake Erie port of Conneaut, Ohio, east to Pennsylvania, then south to North Bessemer, Pennsylvania (Northeast of Pittsburgh). I am not going to recount the history, motive power, freight cars, etc. as others have done a significantly better job of that than I could possibly do. Click Here for a good B&LE site.
