A new event has taken place recently, requiring me to update this page. On September 5, Lynna told me she wanted a divorce. It seems she feels her life will be considerably more enjoyable marrying a co-worker (that happens to be 10 yrs younger than her). We have just started the divorce proceedings, so it will still be a while before they can marry. Right now, they are living together. Meghan and Shawn will be living with her, and Justin will be living with me.
Kellie and Dustin have found thier own place now, and they have also moved out. She moved out the same time Lynna left. In a matter of days, our house went from having 8 occupants, down to 2. Suddenly, I realize just how big this house can seem.
Aaron is 2 yrs. old now, and he will soon have sisters joining him. Kellie is pregnant again, and this time, she is having twin girls. They have finally decided to get married in June of 2007.
And now, about my Leukemia. The Leukemia seemed to be remission for over a year. The doctor had taken me off of the Gleevec (the medication I was on) and all was going well. When I started working at the post office, the hours I was working wasn't too bad. I was working Tour 1 (10:30 PM to 7:00 AM), there wasn't much overtime involved, and things were going well. Then I was asked to go to Tour 3. That shift started at 4:00 PM and would finish at 12:30 AM. But since I was a PTF (Part Time Flexible), I was required to work overtime when needed. As it turned out, I was need every day I worked. As a result, for eight months I was working between 65 and 72 hours a week. The 12 hour shifts ended because I began having problems with my shoulder, and my doctor limited me to a 40 hour work week, then let me work limited overtime after a month. It was at this same time that the Leukemia returned. After the leukemia returned, I was put back on Tour 1 where my overtime was limited to what I felt I could work, and I was put back on the Gleevec. Since then, I was converted to a Full time regular, and now, I only work overtime if I want to. but the damage has been done, and it looks like I may be on the Gleevec for the rest of my life. Only time will tell now.
Well, that's about all I have for now. hopefully, it won't take me another year to update this site again. Thanks for visiting.
