There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension. One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed;we cannot erase a single word we said.Yesterday is gone forever. The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrowwith all its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and its poor performance;Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise.Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet to be born. This leaves only one day, Today.Any person can fight the battle of just one day.It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternitiesYesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad,it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happened Yesterdayand the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.Let us, therefore, Live but one day at a time. ~Author Unknown~

Welcome to the new and improved Lisa’s Weight Loss Journey website!
Weight loss is truly a journey. It's like going from New York to Los Angeles. It takes time to get there. You also need a map to get you going in the right direction. There are a lot of highways and side roads along the way, so you want to make sure you follow the correct ones. There is always a chance that you may take a wrong turn somewhere along the way, but that doesn't mean you should turn around and go back to where you were. You just look at your map, and find the correct path again. Also, you can't be afraid to ask for directions. You'd be surprised how many people are out there who are willing to help you.
If you have followed my weight loss in the past, you know that I started this website in 1999 as a way to journal my weight loss. Now, in 2006, I am still on my journey to rid myself of my unwanted pounds. I have recently recommitted myself to losing weight by rejoining Weight Watchers and following their Core program. I feel that this is the healthiest weight loss program I have ever followed, and I know I can do this for the rest of my life!
Since my plan is so much different than it was originally, I figured the website deserves a makeover as well! I hope you enjoy it. For now, you can follow the links below for the soon-to-be-archived information from my old plan. Just keep in mind that these are OLD and will be updated soon! Please excuse any broken links. There is also a link to my new weigh-in chart. |
