Nash-Foster
Sheila Dawn, the fifth of fourteen children of Reverend Normal and Weltha Frye Nash was born in St. Mary's Hospital October 15, 1944. The family lived out Route 10 approximately nine miles from Huntington. She attended Davis Creek Grade School, Barboursville Jr., and High Schools graduating in 1962. She started Southerton Beauty School in 1963 and was licensed to work in West Virginia, Ohio, and Tennessee.
Along with her brothers and sisters, Doris, Buzz, Brenda, Sandra, Steve, Mary Hope, Paul, Donna, Joe, Martha, Susan, Sherry, and Bill, she shared in all their joys and sorrows of life. She is lovingly known as Chee-Chee by the family.
While working as a hairdresser, Sheila married Lannes Clay Williamson of Mason County June 5, 1965. Their two sons, Lannes Clay Williamson II on October 25, 1967 and Damon Nash Williamson on December 10, 1969 were born in Holzer Hospital, Gallipolis, Ohio.
Raised in Mason County, the boys attended Point Pleasant Schools, participating in athletics, academic, and social organizations. They were in the Civil Air Patrol, owned and showed American Quarter horses, and attended Beech Hill United Methodist Church.
There was an end to the marriage in 1982. At this time Sheila left the family owned business (Lannes Williamson Pallets, Inc.) and became an instructor of cosmetology while attending college classes.
Sheila Dawn married George B. Foster January 19, 1985 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, West Indies. Formerly from Ohio, George was an executive with Omaha Financial in Minnesota.
Clay graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1985 and entered the U.S. Army at the age of 17. He served with the 82nd Airborne, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Damon and his mother joined George in Bloomington, Minnesota. He was a member of athletic teams and became captain of the football team. He participated in social, and academic organizations, graduating in 1988 from Thomas Jefferson High School. He attended Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota on an athletic scholarship.
In 1990 George joined the Chubb Corporation, and he and Sheila moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Clay and Damon graduated from Marshall University in Huntington with honors and both are working on their Master's degree. They run divisions of the family wood products business in Mason County.
Clay married Roberta Sauer in 1988 and divorced in 1995. He runs the retail operations for the business while continuing his military career as an officer with the West Virginia Army National Guard. While living in Huntington and attending Marshall University, his two children were born. They are: Lannes Clay III born September 6, 1988 and Emily Nicole born June 27, 1991. Clay and the children reside in Mason County.
Damon is the sales manager for the family business. He met Kelly Lynn Urban of Huntington while in college. They were married July 11, 1992. Their son, Andrew Kyle, was born October 24, 1994 in Huntington. They also reside in Mason County.
George died in an automobile accident Christmas Eve, 1992. After the death of her dear husband, Sheila Dawn Nash-Foster returned home to live in Cabell County.
