Normal Albert Nash born November 10, 1912 at the home place on Davis Creek was the youngest of eight children of Girard Augustus and Delia Benson Nash. On September 10, 1932, Normal married the love of his life, Weltha Frye, daughter of Thomas and Perlina Elliott Frye, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky. She was born in Lincoln County September 20, 1916.      The main thing that endured and dominated throughout their lives was their Christian work. When Normal received the calling, he began tirelessly working as an evangelist, preacher, pastor and eventually an ordained minister having completed his seminary at Duke University. Their years of Christian work took the family throughout Lincoln, Mason, Logan, Wayne, and Cabell Counties. Reverend Normal Albert Nash was minister at Salt Rock and Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Churches at the time of his death April 24, 1977. Weltha then attended Dillon Chapel Methodist until she passed away August 7, 1978. The greatest legacy left by Normal and Weltha is their huge, close-knit family.
