Death Notice
Maude L. Mays, 93, of Mays Branch Road, Lavalette, W. Va., passed away, Monday, March 20, 1989, in Presbyterian Manor, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mays Chapel United Methodist Church, Beech Fork Road, Lavalette, with the Rev. Ed Hood officiating. Burial will be in Mays family cemetery. She was the daughter of the late William M. and Juna B. Adkins Mays. She was a charter member of Mays Chapel United Methodist Church and was active in numerous church activities. Surviving are two sisters, Erma Wells and Corinne Galloway, both of Huntington; two brothers, Lyle G. Mays of Huntington and Leon R. Mays of Logan, W. Va.; and seven loving nieces and several nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ferrell Mortuary, 924 20th St., Huntington. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
