Obituary
Mr. Walter Roby, 70, of 524 5th St., E., Huntington, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1976, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Reger Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Leo Oxley. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. He was born Aug. 9, 1906, in Cabell County, W. Va., a son of the late Thomas and Florence Angle Roby. He was a retired clerk for the C & O Railroad. He was a member of the Seventh Ave. Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene Brumfield Roby, who died in 1971. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Hugh Van Faussien of Prichard, W. Va.; three nephews, Calvin Roby of Huntington, W. Va., Joe Van Faussien of Cordova, S. C., and Casey Van Faussien of Prichard, W. Va.; one niece, Mrs. Betty Lou Hitchcock of Huntington, W. Va.; five great nieces; three great nephews; and one very dear friend, Mrs. Garnet Taylor. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at the Reger Funeral Home.
