The TLC Club

TLC stands for To Learn by Cooking, the idea behind our new interest group. Cooking affords us an opportunity to learn about different cultures, localities, and traditions. The "club" is a dining experience as well as, from time to time, a hands-on cooking session. Programs vary in theme and are held on bi-monthly on Wednesday evenings. Members bring component parts of the dinner and take turns hosting the sessions. The group may plan excursions to various ethnic cooking classes as well. 

TLC could also be short for Tender Loving Care, because food is "comforting" and we will cook things that make us feel good!

Our first sessions included a salad dinner with a hands-on opportunity to make various kinds of fudge specialties for the branch's Annual Candy Sale, a traditional Ukranian Christmas dinner with authentic recipes, and an Irish meal in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
