Interior
Left is the interior compartment as it was left in 1989-90. The gauges used were Vintage gauges. Unfortunately at the end of the project in 2005 the die cast treaded portion of the speedometer to connect the cable desinagrated to near powder from sitting nearly 17 years when I attempted to fasten the cable to it. Zero miles and this! (Image Lower Left) Since Vintage is no longer in business I went with a TPI set with a basic vintage look. Better yet the speedometer was electronic and programmable solving the problem of gear ratio; tire sizes to obtain a more accurate reading on the speedometer. (Image Below) Shows the begins of the construction dividing the interior from the truck compartment. We keep the old Monte Carlo tilt steering wheel. And finally for the first time in 17 years I no longer have to push and pull on the front wheels to turn the car when moving it. The steering connection is all Borgenson joints connected with "D" rod and one-rod support.

The bucket seats were salvaged and re-coved 16 years ago. They are out of an 80's Pontiac Fiero. The dash was a custom design of my own inserted with flat stock aluminum from the backside with holes bored thru to accept gauges. From the left to right the gauge set includes, Blower manifold vacuum pressure gage, Speedometer, Tachometer, Oil Pressure, Water temp, Alternator, Fuel, a blank dummy for a future matching clock and the air/heat controls. Bases were constructed to raise the seat to a more suitable driving height. The original fuel tank was used and located in it correct position behind the seat on the floorboard. Shown in above image under the flat plywood deck.
