Deaf Pilots!

EAA has summer aviation camps for 12-18.
This year they are offering a specialized Air Academy for deaf and severely hearing-impaired youth ages 14-18,
in conjunction with the Deaf Pilots Association.

You can enroll or learn more about each of their Air Academy camps at their website www.airacademy.org,
by calling them at 1-888-322-3229, or by emailing airacademy@eaa.org.

Scholarships are available.

Discount Drug Mart Pharmacy

The Discount Drug Mart Pharmacy in Cuyahoga Falls on Portage Trail is deaf accessible.
Now you can refill prescriptions online at www.discount-drugmart.com and then click on the top tool bar that says "Rx Refills". Then all you have to do is fill out the required information. This way you won't have to wait for your refill or rely on someone else to phone in your refill for you. Also, along with some of the techs know a little bit of sign language, and all of the workers in the pharmacy are understanding of deafness and will do whatever it takes to serve you. We don't currently have a TTY, but if one day we have a large amount of Deaf customers, the company may get one. Hope this makes getting prescriptions easier!
