 Get of Sire/Produce of Dam may be entered on the day of the show (fee$5).

 

JABL CLASS = Do you have a brown llama that you avoid taking to shows because

it’s ‘just another brown llama’? That’s the criteria… 5mo or older + no white; just brown; just for fun.

All exhibitors must be a member of ALSA or pay an Adult Non-Member fee of $30.00  The Youth Non-Member fee is $15.00.

Ohio Health Requirements:  Llamas from within Ohio must be free of disease. Out-of-state llamas are required to have a vet certificate of good health issued within 30 days of the show. Veterinarian's ID number must appear on the certificate. Out-of-state owners must present health certificates at check in at the show.

 

This show is approved by the Alpaca & Llama Show Association, Inc. All rules and guidelines for this show will be in accordance with the 15th edition ALSA Handbook.

 

All Llamas must Have ILR Certificates with the exception of animals for Youth or Non-Breeders Classes with vet certificate. All Llamas entered in approved classes, with the exception of youth classes, must be registered or have passed screening with the ILR or the Canadian Livestock Record Corp (CLRC). If non-breeders are not registered and wish to be in the ALSA award system and show in halter, they must show in the adult non-breeder halter class.

 

Non-breeder llama must be accompanied by a registration or veterinary certificate verifying the animal is a gelding, a vasectomized male, or a spayed or non-productive female.

 

Nursing llama mothers may not be accompanied in the ring by their babies. ALSA recommends not showing nursing mothers.

 

Llamas may not be moved from one class to another after halter judging has begun – except at the judge’s decision.

 

Exhibitors must be the registered owners and make entry in the exact name as registered.

 

Youth Classes, Junior 8-11, Intermediate 12-14, Senior 15-18. Youth classes may be combined in any combination if there are not 8 in a youth division, however this is not usually done.

 

Animals may only show in ONE Performance Division (animals showing in Youth Division may NOT show in Open or Novice, Advanced, or Masters Division ).

 

It is not recommended that youth under the age of 12 show an intact male.

 

·          Produce of Dam:  Must be 2 offspring, can be different sires. Please indicate name of dam on entry form. All offspring must have been shown in their respective halter classes. 

·          Get of Sire:  Must be 3 offspring, either sex but must be by at least two different dams. All offspring must have been shown in their respective halter classes.

·          Get/Produce: If exhibitor is not the sire/produces` owner, they must have written permission of the animal's owner and the entry must be made in the owner's name. May enter day of show.

This is a Level I show and entries are LIMITED to 130, so get your entry in early! We usually have a full roster.
