Tnx to Frank, K3DZ:   Let's take a look at Bliley Electric Company.
This site's oriented toward the builder. If you need oscillators, this is the place to look!

One question I do have is why Bliley made it so difficult to reference the following links? Their page masks the referenced page URL's, which is rather surprising. Oh, well.........

Here's a site gratis Chris, KA3OBN:   DSL Reports.
Sub-headed "Test Your Broadband Connection," the site contains a wide range of utilities that let you check out your Internet connection. I haven't incluced live links here, because you really should read the brief description first. There is some neat stuff here, though!!
  • Keep a connection diary
  • 24x7 Line Monitoring
  • Wake your PC remotely
  • Your IP address, IP whois
  • Line Packet Loss Testing
  • Full Security Scans
  • Speed Tests
  • Tweak Test
  • Port-scan
  • DoctorPing (windows executable)

Here's another Propagation site:   WWDX Propagation Service Center (PSC)
Never hurts to have "comparison-shopping," HI! Lots of stuff on this site....

I'm serious, this site drills deep!! Here's an example of what I mean:   Got a contest or other special event on the horizon? WWDX PSC will prepare a custom propagation forcast for you---they say it's FREE. Just check out their "Special Propcast" info on the main page.

Seeing the "Morse Double-Dash" on the page made me wonder what's up with Bencher
I didn't know they were involved in photographic equipment! Well, I guess they are; but, go to the Amateur Radio page.
More surprises.....Of course I knew they made Paddles and Keys! But I didn't know they made Antennas and Filters. Check it out:
Bencher includes their
Price List online as well, so be sure to check that out as well.

Now, wouldn't be fair not to take a look at Vibroplex, too, would it?
If you've been around ham radio awhile, and ever worked a Vibroplex, you'll find youself gazing longingly at these keys!! Only question I have....Why use a pin in a Post-It for email when you've got a "Gold Bug" to use????? C'mon guys!!
Check out the Keys link to see thumbnails of Vibroplex's bugs. Click on the thumbnail to enlarge the image.
Need parts for your bug? You'll find 'em here!

*For some reason, these pages do not load as parts lists. I think Vibroplex has a fix to do here, HI!
In addition to current models, Vibroplex supports older model keys as well:
In addition to parts, Vibroplex also includes Adjustment Instructions (by type):
*Another little glitch--no instructions or image. Hey Vibroplex....A 'lil help here???
I know, maybe I'm spending a bit too much time here.....but, this site's got sooo much on it, and The Bug has such a prominent place in amateur radio......
Ok, just one more thing and I'll let go of this, ok? You goin' to Dayton this year???

Well, here's the scoop, directly from the website:

Two new keys in the works! Look for them at Dayton!

Thought I'd take a look at Kendecom
Actually, I'd heard a rumor over the weekend that Kendecom had gone out of business. So, I figured I'd check this out. Well, as you see, the site does rename the company and redirect the URL to Advanced Communication System.

Good news!! The new link not only works, but also looks great. Also good news is that the KRP5000 repeater is still apparently alive and doing well.

Other products listed at ACS include:
But who is this parent company, Advanced Communication System(s)? I guess we'll have to wait awhile. The "Home" link on the site doesn't "go" anwhere. And, the "Questions" link takes you to the ubiquitous "Under Construction"!

Well, that wraps it up for today. Please, drop me an email and let me know what you think about The Ham Weblog, ok? It's easy; just Email K3LBP!
