Repeating this Propagation site from last week:   WWDX Propagation Service Center (PSC)
Never hurts to have "comparison-shopping," HI! Lots of stuff on this site...., but I'm not gonna take up space by repeating the listing again. Check the site or the Ham Weblog Archives .

Ok, this week, I think we'll look at Contesting & DX-ing. I did a brief search on Yahoo! and came up with Yankee Clipper, which, in turn, gave me a big listing.

Here's Yankee Clipper Contest Club
Quite a listing of contest-related info. We were a bit disappointed, though, in the actual Contest listings. Most led to sites that did not list active contests. However, SM3CER's link is a real treasure trove. See it below.

SM3CER Contest Service
Tnx to Jan-Eric, SM3CER, we found the following contest listings for March:
Jan-Eric also lists contests for April - September, so be sure to check here often.
There were a number of additional contest sites listed; however, a number of these were quite outdated. Perhaps an email to Jan-Eric would provide additional information.

Here's an ARRL publication I didn't know about:   National Contest Journal , "a bi-monthly magazine dedicated to covering the competitive aspects of amateur radio."

You can subscribe online from the link at the top of the webpage, or via regular mail or thru the ARRL 800-number. Annual Subscription:   $18 (US).

Here's an interesting site: IOTA Notices  . You can choose notices by month/year. When we checked, January and February 2001 had notices posted, but nothing is listed yet for March or beyond.

Here's an interesting collection of photos and tales of DXpeditons past:   DXpeditions :

You'll find quite a collection of DX news at 425DXNews . This "The italian weekly bulletin for serious DXers...." is really loaded with links:

You may want to take a look at DX Central
Site Features include:
Although not explained, there is an Excel-like element that would seem to be a current listing of DX stations heard (around 1630Z) on both 10m and 20m. Entries here include 3YØC, S55OO, CT3BX, 4H2B, I2PJA, and 4U1UN.
Finally, the site includes solar activity info.

Looking to add more wallpaper to the shack? Take a look at New Russian National Award Program . This page is available in both Russian and English.
Awards offered:
"RABA" (Russian Antarctic Bases Award) "RASA" (Russian Arctic Station Award)
"RRA" (Russian Robinson Award) "RMMA" (Russian Maritime Mobile Award)
"FJL" (Franz Josef Land) "W - RRC - A" (Worked RRC Members Award)

Although not quite DX, Packet Radio includes loads of info on digital modes.
In the Packet arena, you'll find almost a dozen links to Organizations, including
IDRA Intl. Digital Radio Assoc. Tucson Amateur Packet Radio (TAPR)
California Amateur VHF Enthusiasts Montreal/Western Quebec Packet
    Radio Amateur Telecommunications Society Baycom
And...the site is not limited to traditional packet. There are a slew of links to Fast Speed Packet, New Link Layer, Spread Spectrum, Clover, RTTY.... You name it, it's here!!! For anybody into ditigal modes, I'd say this is a "must-bookmark."
