What a nice show! Lake Itasca is about 4.5 hours drive from Minneapolis, MN. We had a beautiful day with clear dry and low 70's weather.

A team of Clydesdales picked us up and took us on a tour of the grounds. Lots of logging was performed nearby.

A 5 cylinder Fairbanks Diesel removed from a power house. Real slow runner which you could hardly hear.

Overview shot of the other Fairbanks 3-cylinder deisel direct coupled to an alternator. Both of these ran the entire day we were there.

Interior view of the hot air engine shed. Lots of Rider-Ericcsons, Lake Breezes, home made and other unusual stuff.

5 inch REECO coupled to a washing machine.

Engine coupled to Ivan The Mad Russian who rung the bell every 2-3 minutes. Built by Olaf Berge.

Ralph Reeves engine from the Henry Ford Museum...a one-of-a-kind hot air engine from the 1870's I believe.

Another engine I believe was made by Mr Berge. He reproduced several engines which currently do not exist by making all the pieces from steel plate and welding and some castings. Some VERY fine craftsmanship here.

Senft Ringbom engine made by Mr. Berge. This engine uses the air pressure of the power piston to move the displacer.

Coffee cup engine made to run on very low temperature differential.

English engine reminiscent of Robinson design.

Roper Caloric Open Cycle Hot Air engine made by Olaf Berge

Side view of the Roper...it is over 6 feet high. A truly impressive machine as it ran and in the construction.

Model T Ford power take off unit for the "universal" Car.

Neat little factory made bulldozer sold by sears.
