GIANTS
KEEP SEAHAWKS GROUNDEDIT wasn't the prettiest win that Giants' fans would like to see following the upset of the Rams, but as the old saying goes "a win is a win.". The G-Men improved to 2-1 on the new season after Sunday's 12 round brawl with the Seattle Seahawks that ended 9-6. Even though the Seahawks were hardly flying with their 0-2 record heading into the game, they proved they still know how to fight on the ground. The Hawks defense brutalized the Giants offensive unit in the first half, at one point stopping the Giants on a 4th and Goal at the 1 yard line to end out the half. It wasn't until the second half that Kerry Collins pumped the G-Men down the field in range for Matt "Sling Blade" Bryant to boot 3 FG including a 47 yarder late in the 4th quarter which ended up being the game winner. The Giants defense deserves just as much credit for bullying around Trent Dilfer, Shuan Alexander and the rest of the Seattle offense. After getting off to a poor start Tiki Barber finished with a respectable outing and much critisized RB Ron Dayne put on his best performance since last October in the victory over the Seahawks.
