Club Meeting Minutes 2008 /
2009
March 4th, 2009 Club Meeting:
* Introduction
of potential new members: Rob & Ryan Papp. If they wish to
be in the club, we will vote on them next meeting.
* Treasurers Report - New treasurer (Rich Conlon) reports
we still have a balance after state and national roster checks.
* Kids Tournament Discussion:
- Sportsman's Warehouse - Status??
- June 7th will be the day of the kid's tournament (PA fish for free day)
- Need to touch base with all previous sponsors now!
- Confirmation of Sponsors due next meeting!
- Money will be due in May!
* Wednesday Tournament Discussion: New director Ron
Feits and assistant director Terry Feits were voted on as new
directors. Scott K. proposed the new "mandatory $1.00
increase" as a donation to Moraine State Park.... voted on
"yes".
* KBBC Update: Kickoff meeting is this Sunday at
West Deer Fire Hall. Sponsor run down.
* Club Tournament Schedule Discussion:
- Pymy 1 - April 19th
- Pymy 2 - May 24th
- Ohio River (Monaca) - June 14th
- Shenango - June 21st
- Wilhelm - July 26th
- East Brady - August 23rd
- Lake Erie - October 4th (club outing Oct 2nd & 3rd)
- Club Fish Off - Conneaut Lake - Oct. 18th
* Club payments form the sources discussed over the past
two meetings, will be due to our treasurer at the end of every
month. As of June, half of the proceeds will be donated to
our charity organization.... club vote (yes).
December 10th, 2008 Club Meeting:
* Collection of club dues by Rick Walker.
* Treasurers Report.
* Wednesday Tournament Director Discussion - The
point was brought up again that we need an identifiable man in
charge. Motion made last month to vote on new director.
Voted on this month and Rick Walker will be the new Wednesday
Tournament Director. Rick will be applying for permits
soon for this coming year.
* Officer Nomination Vote: President - Dwayne,
Vice Pres. - Ron F., Treasurer - Rick W., Secretary - Scott K.,
Tournament Director - Mark K., Assistant Directors - Brian, Ken,
John Jr., Wednesday Tourn. Director - Rick Walker
* KBBC Update with Ernie.
* State Team Discussion - June 19th at Raystown.
Mark to provide list of last years club winners and Mark is also
to head this project (nominated by John Jr.).
* Kids Tournament Update - Looks like June 7th will
be the day if that's the "PA fish for free day". We must
work now to gain sponsorship!
* Vote on Club Tournament fee increase - Yes.
* Introduction of Chuck Costello - Will vote on
Chuck next month.
* Yann Jones quite the club.
* December meeting ended with the consumption of
greasy wing, fries, and pizza.

5th, 2008 Club Meeting:
* Discussion on club Lake Arthur Tournament incident.
This incident involved one of our club members and a
non-competitive angler on the lake who were involved in a heated
discussion over a spot. This topic will be brought to the
attention of the individual involved. Scott K. to include
a statement to the club in the next club meeting letter.
* Treasurers Report
* Discussion on club tournament fees... Should they
be raised to increase the payout? This proposal is on the
floor and will be voted on next meeting. Proposal:
Rider Fee ($30.00) Boater Fee ($20.00) Riders and
Boaters split gas cost evenly. If your fishing by yourself you
still get the average of the riders and you entry fee is $45.00.
* KBBC Update - Sponsor solicitation has already
started.
* Discussion on State Team - There is great interest
in State Team this year. We will make a strong effort to
participate this year. We will have discussion on this
next meeting and in the meetings to come.
* Kids Tournament Discussion - All agree that we
have to start sponsor solicitation early this year.
* Officer Nominations - Will vote on the positions
next months meeting.
