James Pratt from John Stambough in the amount of $39.00 for 70 acres on
Caney Fork of Beaver Creek. Deed book A - 28 Mar 1817: This day came
James Pratt and made oath that he brought a negro boy to this State and
failed to make oath as required by the Act of Assembly of 1814, and
desposed that he brought the boy for his own use to this State and the
deponent further states that he did not know that it was his duty to
