A Bit of History
Victory Lodge #694 was constituted on April 24, 1919 and has been at it's current location, the Butler Masonic Temple, since that time.
Victory Lodge is the largest of three lodges that meet in the Butler Masonic Temple. Butler Lodge #272 (the oldest of the three) and William H. Miller Lodge #769 (the youngest) also share the same facilities. Victory Lodge meets on the second Friday of the month at 7:30 PM, (except when a holiday falls on that Friday). We also take a break during July & August.
Notice: Effective January 2010, all three lodges in Butler are now part of the 26th Masonic District of Pennsylvania.
Some of What We Do
Our primary purpose is to "take good men and make them better men," but we are also focused on raising money for local and national charities.
In fact, Freemasonry and it's concordant bodies such as the Scottish Rite, York Rite & Shriners (to name only a few), is perhaps the largest philanthropic organization in the world.
...but we also like to have fun
Annually in March, Victory Lodge hosts the "Raymond E. Montag Seafood Dinner." This event is open to all Master Masons & is always a great time for area Masons to gather; share in brotherhood and fellowship and to eat great seafood. The excess money taken in from this event is used to supplement our annual "Charity Fund". Oh, we also a variety of other charity fundraisers throughout the year.
